Jewellery, Sometimes.

Some things aren’t for everyone. Jewellery is no exception.
Truth be told, as the founder of a jewellery brand, I don’t actually wear the stuff.
Yep. Ironic, I know.
Jewellery has just never fit into my uniform requirements, practicality issues, or financial situation. When I have tried to wear it, it feels like it’s in the way. Or I forget it’s there until it scratches something or pulls on my sleeve. Or I put it on and feel dressed up for something I’m not going to.
There are plenty of reasons not to wear jewellery. It can feel unnecessary. Too precious. Too polished. Like it’s trying a little too hard to mean something.
And that’s fair.
But in the opposite sense, there are plenty of reasons to wear jewellery as well. It can be sentimental or symbolic — like an engagement ring, or something gifted by someone significant to you. Sometimes it just looks good. Like it naturally belongs on whoever is wearing it.
The fact is: jewellery is what you want it to be.
Sometimes it’s about sentiment.
Sometimes it’s about aesthetics.
And sometimes it’s just a habit — like putting on your ring every morning.
That doesn’t happen for everyone. And it doesn’t have to.
Jewellery is an accessory for that reason. You don’t need it to look put together. You don’t need it to feel like yourself. You don’t need to love it at all.
It’s optional by nature — and maybe that’s the point.
Here at Mindello, we still make it anyway.
